Something crossed my mind for no apparent reasons this morning War is actually a good thing
If we think about our population growth, it has been exponential ever since. So if the wars in the past did not kill off at least say around 20% of our population, our population could be as many as 400 years in future from now. (2000 years X 20%) And i do not believe we have the technology to support that kind of massive human life activity. (We only has JUST begun recycling)
I have heard the saying "evolution takes sacrifices". War is a direct translation of mankind's competitiveness. Let's face it, Most of our most important technology, be it ancient or modern, came from wars. (Internet came from military, if you didn't know) When we stop waging big wars, people's ambition translated to greed, wealth and economy. It, too, does spawn technology. But instead of human lives, we are sacrificing the earth now.
If you ask me, I prefer the earth much, much over human lives.
i used to think i m more a giver than a taker. but i guess i was wrong. i dont think i have given out any impressive birthday present to any of my friends yet (my whole life) LOL
top of my list right now: 1) SET from 07' (i dont think anything will beat it anytime soon) Frankie you are the best!! 2) Acer LCD Monitor 08' (saved me from a dark, heavy, environmental-unfriendly, old monitor that i have been using for YEARS) 3) Italy trip 06' (it was a great experience, just a mediocre trip) 4) a Painting 0X'(i just think it's really special + personal from a net friend) 5) Dior Higher 02' (my first perfume) 6) A big box of pencil crayon 40 colors 89' (that can also be used as water color, too bad i m so not an artist) from my dad's gf 7) Casio Camera Wrist Watch 00' (yes i hate my dad. but then i cant deny the thrill i used to have when i first received it)
